The first step is scheduling a consultation. During this time, we will briefly discuss your needs, answer any questions you may have, and help determine whether our practice is a good fit. From there, we will guide you through the intake process and next steps. Please refer to our Scheduling page for taking that first step.

You are welcome to review each clinician’s profile to learn more about their approach and areas of focus. If you are unsure, we are happy to help match you with a therapist based on your needs and preferences.

The first session is an opportunity to get to know your therapist, discuss what brings you to therapy, and begin identifying your goals. Your therapist will also review important information about the therapy process and answer any questions you may have.

We support individuals and couples navigating a wide range of emotional, relational, and life experiences. This may include anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodivergence, relationship challenges, life transitions, and feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected.
We also work with clients exploring identity, processing past experiences, and building greater clarity, connection, and self-understanding. If you’re unsure whether your concerns “fit,” we welcome you to reach out.

Most clients begin with weekly sessions, though frequency may vary depending on your needs, goals, and availability. This will be discussed and adjusted collaboratively with your therapist.

We currently offer telehealth services, allowing clients to attend sessions from the comfort of their own space. At this time, we are not offering in-person services.

Bright Flame Counseling, PLLC is currently in the process of becoming in-network with select insurance providers and has already been approved with several plans. Please email Admin@BrightFlameCounseling.com for verifying your personal coverage plan.

We ask that clients provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to a fee.

Bright Flame Counseling, PLLC does not provide crisis or emergency services. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please call 988 or go to your nearest emergency room.

At this time, we provide services to clients located in Virginia. Due to licensing regulations, we are unable to provide therapy to clients outside of the state. As our practice grows, we may expand services to additional states. We will update our website as new licensure becomes available.
